CCLC Senior Living Clubhouse
2016 NAHB 55+ Best Housing Award Finalist
Country Club at La Cholla is a multi-phase renovation of common areas and residential units designed to make the property more attractive to prospective residents.
When MBK Senior Living purchased Country Club at La Cholla, their first goal was to increase marketability by transforming the clubhouse and common amenities. The second level of this community had an underutilized multipurpose room which we converted to a large meeting room. Existing activity rooms have new life as an exercise room, theater, crafts room, chapel, and hair salon. Restrooms and offices on both floors were also renovated.
The first floor of the clubhouse had two formal dining rooms and a number of underutilized activity spaces. This project created three distinct dining experiences (formal, informal, and Bistro). We converted an existing conservatory to a wine bar with a two sided fireplace. Smaller activity rooms have become more popular as combination game rooms and meeting spaces, and the variety of spaces encourages residents to spend time together chatting and enjoying activities with food as a focus.
The renovation also expanded resident common areas to include a more extensive array of amenities for residents including a library, fully-equipped fitness center, full-service salon, arts and crafts rooms, and an in-house movie theater.
