Healthy buildings contribute to healthier people and greater productivity within medical facilities and the community. We believe that design can and should enhance the experience of the patient and contribute to a more rapid, effective healing process.
In our experience, sustainable design naturally enhances good health care design. Our use of natural materials, views and natural light, and thoughtful acoustic design supports technology, without sacrificing efficiency or safety. We understand the importance of sensitivity and a thorough understanding of the culture and traditions of the surrounding community. Every client group consists of diverse individuals whose lives are not static, but changing and participatory; individuals who can offer important input into the facilities designed for their use. Similarly, we recognize that our approach to designing health care spaces must be evidence based and supported by research. We focus on proven strategies that lead to enhanced outcomes in health care facilities.
